SD 'Language Challenge' - Number 1!

Here's a reminder of what the SD Language Challenge is all about

Here's the first in our month of 'language challenges' - to get us all talking more about the everyday ways we can transform the diabetes conversation!

Challenge Number 1.  Why not read, or re-read, 'Language Matters', NHS England's unique position statement on language and diabetes?

Maybe find something in it that resonates with your own experience or that you hadn't noticed before? Perhaps there's something that really frustrates you that you'd really like to start to make a difference to over this month?

If you wish, could you also think of a way of sharing it? For example, you could post it on your own social media and say why 'Language Matters' to you; talk about it with another person with diabetes; your diabetes professional team colleagues; or your consultant or diabetes specialist nurse if you've a clinic appointment.  If you feel they need to know about language issues, you could even send it to your CCG diabetes commissioners or even the local press or TV! The possibilities are endless.....
